It can measure acceleration in 3 dimensions (X, Y, and Z) as well as angular velocity about those axes. The sensor is often used in applications such as detecting the orientation of a device, detecting movement and measuring angular velocity. The module you mentioned likely contains the MPU-6050  and some additional circuitry for interfacing with a microcontroller or other device.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For precision tracking of both fast and slow motions, the MPU-60X0 features a user-programmable gyroscope full-scale range of \u00b1250, \u00b1500, \u00b11000, and \u00b12000\u00b0\/sec (DPS). The parts also have a user-programmable accelerometer full-scale range of \u00b12g, \u00b14g, \u00b18g, and \u00b116g.<br \/>The MPU-6000 family is comprised of two parts, the MPU-6000 and MPU-6050. These parts are identical to each other with two exceptions.
