The SIM900A Modem is a wireless module manufactured by SIMCOM. It is a Dual Band GSM modem operating on the 900MHz frequencies. The modem has the capability to automatically search for these two bands. Additionally, users can also manually set the frequency bands using AT Commands. The baud rate of the modem can be configured in the range of 1200-115200 through AT commands.

The SIM900A Modem is designed to be ultra compact and offers wireless connectivity. It features an interface that allows connection with a PC or a microcontroller using the RS232 Chip (MAX232). This modem is suitable for various applications such as SMS, voice, and data transfer in the M2M (Machine-to-Machine) interface.

The modem includes an onboard regulated power supply, enabling connection to a wide range of unregulated power sources. With this modem, you can easily perform functions like making audio calls, sending and receiving SMS, reading SMS, and handling incoming calls using simple AT commands. It is a comprehensive designed in a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) format and utilizes a powerful single-chip, allowing for compact dimensions. The SIM900A GSM Modem offers both serial and TTL outputs..
